Nude Teen Titan?

Young Justice Aqualad

For a cartoon on Cartoon Network this is one that I really enjoyed. They actually had character development, humor, mystery and a great story in and of itself. This Aqualad not only came from this cartoon series but also came from DC Comics Brightest Day Storyline, where this character after the New 52 story line completely vanished, so far anyway. In the show he is a blonde who can channel electricity through eel like tattoos on his arms and he can also control water like Mera, to make it into hard water weapons.

Speaking of which: his weapons are translucent soft plastic blue and he actually has quite a few of them, he comes with two swords, one is a symatar style sword, the next sword is a double bladed sword that the name escapes me right now, there is a double bladed battle axe, a mace, and a war hammer. The detail of these weapons is pretty nice they have a handle that fit well in his hand with grooves for where his fingers can rest to make it actually fit well in his hands, at the base of the handles they have a wave like effect letting you know they are made out of water. Aqualad's backpack also has two handles that stick up over his back that he channels his water power into to make his weapons to help the Titans. The handles are removable from the backpack, the handle fits into the base that comes with the figure. The base is a neat feature that all the Young Justice figures. His base is a water spout that is coming out of a water container with a movable wheel so it has like a valve. There are no peg holes for Aqualad to use.

Aqualad is a very detailed and nice figure and I am glad I got him a a Christmas gift from my neighbor. Aqualad is African American with blonde hair and blue eyes his eel tattoos are bright blue that stand out well with his darkish skin. He wears a red tank top with black lines making angled points to the front and back of the figure, a black belt with an 'A' belt buckle, dark blue pants that go down to below his ankles his calves have fins on them that are like fins on a fish. He is bare footed. His backpack is black with blue detailing very fine detailing. On his neck there are gills because that is what all Atlanteans need to breathe underwater. His facial details are pretty decent in that there is no smudging or paint run. The articulation for the figure is the standard DC Comics figures in that he moves at his head with a ball joint, ball jointed shoulders, mid bicep swivel, single jointed elbow, pegged wrist, ab crunch, waist rotation, T crotch, outward hinged thigh, lower thigh rotation, single hinged knee, ankle swivel.

I have to say for a 'I don't really know if I want this figure' attitude I really like him and would/will probably get some of the other figures in the line. I really want Robin and Arsenal especially. It is hard to find them now but I will find them because I am resourceful and crafty like that.

Will he survey you next?

Transformers Generations Legends Class Cosmos and Payload

Cosmos is the deep space spy for the Autobots and Payload is his target master deep space sidekick. These two were released on the East Coast months ago and we on the West Coast were months behind until recently and I think it is because Hasbro is located on the East Coast, but that is just a theory I have, it could very well be because our stores over here don't order them until now either...Like I said THEORY!

Payload is a space shuttle in vehicle mode, having never seen a shuttle in person I cannot say how accurate he is to an actual shuttle. His coloring is white and black in this mode. On the left wing he has a Autobot badge displayed in red. His windows and nose of the shuttle are black and the boosters are a silver grey color.

The robot mode doesn't have much articulation. The arms move up and down and that is the limit of the range of motion. The coloration in this mode is silver grey for his chest, a yellow knob in the center of the chest, his legs are white and his face is blue with a red helmet. As a robot he is actually pretty detailed and nice looking.

With the yellow in his chest it becomes the handle for him in blaster mode. Sliding the feet guards back it reveals the thrusters that are also the muzzles for his gun mode. As a gun he fits in Cosmos hand really well, almost like they were made for each other....Ha!

Cosmos robot mode is green with yellow lining his windows which are shaded black, his helmet is red, his eyes are blue and the lower part of his face is yellow. The shoulders are yellow with a red Autobot badge on the right upper shoulder. There is a yellow waist with a black vent. On the knees there are guns that if he is not using Payload as a weapon then he can use the guns as his defense. The articulation is plentiful with a rotating head, ball jointed shoulders, hinge at the upper arm, ball joint at the shoulder, he has a waist swivel, ball jointed hips, ball jointed knees, double hinged ankles. For a figure his size he has a lot of articulation for the most part he has more articulation than most deluxe and voyager class Transformers. On his back he has the thrusters that will be used in his vehicle mode.

Vehicle mode Cosmos has absolutely no articulation. He is a flying saucer but with a few more add ons to make him a Transformer. He is circular with the upper area as some people see saucers. The red that made up his helmet is at the top of the dome where the pilot sits. The back side he has his thrusters that help him escape the atmosphere so he can do his long range surveillance around the front of his saucer mode the guns on his knees are now up front sitting side by side for protection. The coloration is primarily green which for a space faring robot it doesn't make sense. But then again its transformers so who knows why he is green. Like the Rattrap review I am not going to tell you how to transform him if you want just look it up on Youtube or something.

The Milkman and Revren show is taking a week off because of the holiday. Supposedly Milkman is going to read two comic books since we are going on a one week hiatus, but I wouldn't hold your breath for that and if he does well then I would be very shocked. As for me I will do one more review next week and I already have the figure in mind. It is a Christmas gift from my neighbor and I think it will be much better than the Hero Clix review I did last week...

A little hope at the speed of light

Hero Clix Blue Lantern Flash
This is the challenge I issued to my best friend Tyler because he was a special guest on the Milkman and Revren podcast. The challenge for all our guest or special guests is to challenge me to step outside my comfort zone and review something different. To challenge me there are a couple rules, there is a $20 dollar maximum, it can be any toy from any line and if the review sucks when I put it up...I did my best so bite me. Other than that enjoy me stepping out of my norm and trying something new.

Hero Clix is a game I never understood but it seemed like a good idea. Kinda like Magic the Gathering I just don't get it. Its a game that involves action figures, something you would think I would enjoy but I just don't have the want or desire to actually play it.

Blue Lantern Flash I got as a gift from a friend he came in a Blackest Night boxed set with Red Lantern Mera, Orange Lantern Lex Luthor, Yellow Lantern Scarecrow, Green Lantern Hal Jordan, Blue Lantern Flash, Indigo Lantern Atom, Violet Lantern Wonder Woman. Mera and Wonder Woman have since broke. these are very fragile figures. Each one is cast in a translucent plastic of their respective plastic and doing so makes them a little more fragile.

BL Flash has instead of yellow lightning trailing him like he does in the comic the lightning is blue because he is wielding a Blue ring of Hope. His costume is blue and black in the same design of his original costume. As per a flash figure he is in a running pose. To accomplish this pose the figure is standing on a black base that the middle rotates to reveal four numbers at a time as well as KO in a few different spots, what these numbers and the KO means I have no idea, but maybe I will do some research some day and actually figure out what Hero Clix is all about, I wouldn't hold your breath for it happening any time soon though.

The blue on the BL Flash is a kind of a cloudy blue instead of the bright blue he was in the comics. He has a blue blob on his right hand that is supposed to be his ring. his flash lightning logo is over laying the blue lantern badge. The facial coloring isn't the best for a figure so small. There are two black dots where his eyes should be.

Not the best figure I have ever owned not the worst but hopefully this review gives you some hint of what a Hero Clix figure is and what they kind of look like. If there were other GL Hero Clix out there, which there probably are, I will probably own them.

Rat invasion

Awe its a robot rat

I know this one is over a week late and I apologize for that I was sick one day and then the day after I wounded my hand pretty badly where it was very hard to type then my internet was shut off but without further delay here is Transformers Generations Rattrap.

Out of every beast line of Transformers that was ever made I always had to have a Rattrap. He is always my favorite character, I guess he was always my favorite because I have always liked rats, they are smart and very entertaining animals.

I'll start this review with Rattrap in rat mode talking about his coloring, beast mode articulation, and his previous iteration from Beast Wars, Beast Wars Transmetals, Beast Machines then Transformers Generations. I will not be reviewing the first three mentioned but I will have comparison pictures of them.

Lets begin shall we?

Colors of Rattrap are primarily a greyish color for the body in beast mode, on his butt there is an orangeish brown coloring just like in he original figure. His tail and feet are a peach coloring. He has black beady eyes and a black nose.

His beast modes articulation is pretty good. His tail is hinged but it is also bendy. The hind legs are on a hinge as well as the feet for a reason I will go into in a minute. The upper or front legs for you that are paying attention are also on hinges and the front feet rotate. The jaw has a hinge so it can open, his head also looks down so he can stand on his hind legs like a rat can too. There is a little flap behind his head so he can stand on his hind legs and you don't have a gap. Now when he stands on his hind legs you can see his robot arms and his gun just hanging out looking like a rat wang.

Rat wang
He wants to play pattycake
I will not go into how to transform him into a robot...I will let you go to youtube and look it up if you want but I will say it is not very hard to transform him and once you get him into bot mode he looks great.

As a robot Rattrap does not disappoint any fan at all, or at least the few I have talked to. his colors in bot mode are still grey, but with a bit of orange (similar to the coloring on his hind quarters in rat mode) on his arms he has silver on ribbing, his shins also have silver on them.

His articulation in bot mode is pretty decent. His head swivels, his shoulders are ball jointed so he has a very wide range of motion there his elbows only bend at about 75 degrees instead of the typical 90 no wrist or hand articulation. Ball joints make up his thighs, below that is swivel thigh movement, his knees bend over 90 degrees in both directions part of his knee articulation is due to his transformation but it is still great in motion.

For weapons he has two blasters that combine into his blaster similar to his first Beast Wars figure. In his left forearm there is his bomb that he would use in the show multiple times it is a very nice nod to the fans. He holds all these very well.

Transformers have come a long ways in the last 18 years. And in a lot of ways they are so much better than they were back then but for nostalgic I will always keep my previous three Rattrap's I love this new Generations Rattrap a lot if I didn't have Transformers Titan Class Metroplex, Rattrap would probably be the center of my collection.  As it is Rattrap is very prominent in my collection as he sits there on a shelf next to my just inside my door with my other Beast Wars and beast like characters.

I hope you enjoyed this review, I think it was one of my longer ones I have yet done. As always feedback, comments and suggestions are always welcome and appreciated.

G.I.Joe Generation 3 Low-Light Review

Low-Light is a G.I.Joe night time sniper. He comes with a lot of accessories a lot of them are sniper materials.

Low-Light is primarily dark grey body suit. He has black boots, black knee pads, a black knife holster on his right hip, on his left hip is a spot so he can put his scope on it, he also has black pads on his arms with black finger-less gloves, as well a black beanie. He is wearing a padded vest with a red right shoulder pad. The vest has silver on it for buckles a clips and two green grenades permanently attached to it.

His articulation is very plentiful. He has a ball jointed head, hinged shoulders, double jointed elbows ball jointed wrist: the right wrist has a downward hinge to it while the left wrist does the jazz hands (look at the pics), he has a hinged torso. He has a t-crotch that allows him to kick forward and to do the splits moderately, he has double hinged knees and ball jointed ankles.

The accessories for this guy are amazing in that he includes a visor with red lenses they fit over his eyes well, he has a huge backpack that can fit all his accouterments, he has a flashlight, a digital range finder, a wind scope, he has an UZI a bullet box with an actual removable bullet, he also has a digital communications device, he then has a sniper rifle case that stores his rifle and his scope. All his accessories fit in his backpack and his sniper case. In his sheath on his hip he has a knife.

With all his gear loaded upon his body heavy. a neat thing about his back pack and his sniper case can combine as one massive pack that he can wear on his back and on the side of his back pack his communication device also fits on so all his weapons are not to be lost.

Over all this is a good figure I like him and have him displayed on my shelf proudly. When I bought him he was packed in with another figure who I was not very interested in but to get Low-Light I had to get the other figure. Maybe in a later review I will cover that figure but I don't think its that likely.
